Grilled Fish Recipe – Easy & Tasty
Ingredients:
500g fish fillets (pomfret, salmon, or any white fish)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt – to taste
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Fresh herbs (parsley or coriander) – for garnish
Optional:
- 1 tbsp butter – for extra flavor
Method
1. Marinate the Fish:
- Wash the fish fillets and pat dry with a paper towel.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic paste, ginger paste, red chili powder, turmeric, salt, and black pepper.
- Coat the fish fillets well with the marinade and let them rest for 20–30 minutes.
2. Preheat the Grill or Pan:
- Preheat your grill or non-stick pan over medium heat.
- If using a pan, lightly brush with butter or oil.
3. Grill the Fish:
- Place the fish fillets on the grill or pan.
- Cook for 4–5 minutes on each side (depending on fillet thickness).
- Flip only once to avoid breaking the fillet.
4. Check Doneness:
- Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork and the center is opaque.
5. Serve:
- Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices.
- Serve with grilled vegetables, salad, or steamed rice.
Tips for Perfect Grilled Fish:
- Don’t overcook the fish; it should be juicy and tender.
- Add a little butter on top while serving for extra flavor.
- Marinating longer enhances the taste, so if possible, marinate for 1 hour.
