Grilled Fish Recipe – Easy & Tasty

Ingredients:

500g fish fillets (pomfret, salmon, or any white fish)

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste

  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt – to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or coriander) – for garnish

Optional:

  • Lemon slices  for serving

  • 1 tbsp butter – for extra flavor

Method

1. Marinate the Fish:

  • Wash the fish fillets and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic paste, ginger paste, red chili powder, turmeric, salt, and black pepper.
  • Coat the fish fillets well with the marinade and let them rest for 20–30 minutes.

2. Preheat the Grill or Pan:

  • Preheat your grill or non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • If using a pan, lightly brush with butter or oil.

3. Grill the Fish:

  • Place the fish fillets on the grill or pan.
  • Cook for 4–5 minutes on each side (depending on fillet thickness).
  • Flip only once to avoid breaking the fillet.

4. Check Doneness:

  • Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork and the center is opaque.

5. Serve:

  • Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices.
  • Serve with grilled vegetables, salad, or steamed rice.

Tips for Perfect Grilled Fish:

  • Don’t overcook the fish; it should be juicy and tender.
  • Add a little butter on top while serving for extra flavor.
  • Marinating longer enhances the taste, so if possible, marinate for 1 hour.
